Do I need the siemens cpu 1511-1 pn processor to be able to finish the Siemens PLC Training course?
Or can it be simulated?

As you probably know, it’s always best to have access to a PLC so that you can run the code and experience the “real system” as you learn. However, it’s by no means a necessity. Siemens has much more powerful simulation tools and you can do everything within TIA Portal using them. There’s a license for the Pro version of the simulator that may cover more features than the basic one.
