Using a Codesys HMI with an Allen Bradley PLC

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had experience connecting a Codesys HMI to and AB Compact Logix PLC? Is it possible to do it? How did you do it?

I personally have not, but I dont see why you couldnt.

I don’t have much experience with Codesys, but I believe that there isn’t necessarily a hardware component to it. You can build a program that would pull in the tags from a CompactLogix via an OPC server and create any HMI layout you wish. I’m not sure if there’s a direct way to interface a CompactLogix from Codesys.
